Sierra Blanca is the gated hillside urbanisation directly above Marbella's Golden Mile, laid out from the early 1990s across 25.2 hectares at roughly 300 metres above sea level. This Sierra Blanca Marbella guide for 2026 covers what the address actually is, what it costs, and whether it suits your stay. It holds close to 300 villas behind three gated entrances, and asking prices over the last two years average about 7,350 euros per square metre, with listings running from 1.35 million to 17.9 million euros.

What makes Sierra Blanca different from the Golden Mile?

Height and quiet. The Golden Mile is the flat coastal strip. Sierra Blanca sits behind it on the slope of La Concha, the limestone peak that gives the range its name. The beaches at the bottom of the hill are 2.3 kilometres away, about eight minutes by car. Marbella centre is 2.5 kilometres, Puerto Banus about seven.

The layout is a grid of wide roads, with traditional Andalusian villas on plots averaging 2,000 square metres and the largest reaching 18,000. The three entrances carry barriers and 24 hour security, with camera cover and mobile patrols. Access is open by day and controlled at night.

One correction worth making, because listings blur it constantly: Nagueles, Cascada de Camojan and La Quinta de Sierra Blanca are neighbours, not parts of Sierra Blanca. Cascada de Camojan has its own gate, its own concierge and its own security management.

What is being built there in 2026?

Very little, and that is the point. Almost no plots remain. Two schemes are active on the hill. Le Blanc is a gated development of 22 villas at the foot of the slope, and five Elie Saab branded hillside villas are under construction in the Sierra Blanca and Camojan area. New build asking prices on the hill run from roughly 5,500 to 10,000 euros per square metre. Plot land, where any exists, starts near 1,000 euros per square metre, with building costs around 3,000.

Should you stay up here?

Stay in Sierra Blanca if you want space, privacy and a view over the bay, and you are happy to drive to dinner. You cannot walk to the beach from here. If walking matters more than the view, our Golden Mile guide covers the strip below, and our guide to the best areas to stay in Marbella compares them properly. For the marina and the late bars, Puerto Banus is the better base.

Premavista manages 15 homes across Marbella, Estepona and Benahavis, nine of them in Marbella itself. If you own on the hill or the strip below, see our Golden Mile owners page or message us on WhatsApp at +34 600 543 173.
