Cabopino sits at Marbella's eastern boundary, about twelve kilometres from the old town and the last thing in the municipality before you cross into Mijas. It is the only place on this coast where a working marina, an eighteen hole golf course and a protected dune system sit inside one kilometre of each other. This Cabopino Marbella guide for 2026 covers what is there, what it costs and who it suits.
What is actually at Cabopino?
Three things, and they are walkable from each other.
The marina holds 169 berths, takes boats from six to fifteen metres and sells fuel seven days a week. It is deliberately modest: whitewashed low rise, fishing boats alongside the leisure craft, restaurants that open onto the quay rather than a promenade of designer frontages. If you want the other end of that scale, our Puerto Banus guide covers it.
Behind the beach are the Dunas de Artola, declared a Natural Monument in 2001. Boardwalks cross about 1,200 metres of golden sand and shifting dune, and the whole strip is built up on one side only because the protection order stops development on the other. Torre Ladrones, the sixteenth century watchtower on the headland, stands fifteen metres and is the tallest on the Malaga coast.
Inland, Cabopino Golf Marbella runs eighteen holes at par 71, designed by Juan Ligues Creus, threaded through umbrella pines with sea views from the high tees.
What does property cost in 2026?
The Elviria and Cabopino zone read about 5,247 euros per square metre in late August 2026, against a Marbella municipal average near 5,939. That makes it one of the more affordable districts inside the municipality, and roughly a third of the Golden Mile heights covered in our Nagueles guide, which index near 8,313.
The reason is distance, not quality. Everything east of Elviria pays a twenty minute drive to Marbella centre, and that discount is the whole story.
Should you stay in Cabopino?
Stay here for the beach, the dunes and a quiet marina, and if a car is a given rather than a chore. Stay closer in if you want to walk to restaurants at midnight. Our guide to the best areas to stay in Marbella sets the options side by side.
